  Address update

Enjoy your new home - we'll handle the bureaucracy!

Whenever you buy or rent a house, it's mandatory to communicate your change of address to the Portuguese Tax Authorities within a maximum period of 90 days. Otherwise, you may be subject to a fine ranging from 75 to 375 euros.

This service is for you if:

  • you have moved to Portugal and want to update your address to a Portuguese one for the first time, or

  • you already have a Portuguese address associated with your NIF and simply want to update it to another Portuguese address, or

  • you live outside Portugal but need to update your NIF address to another non-Portuguese address.

Note: For those who acquired their NIF through a fiscal representative, updating your address to Portugal will also allow you to cancel fiscal representation.
